Dundee Community language Advisory Group was formed in 1996 due to views and concerns of many parents from Minority Ethnic Communities regarding lack of facilities for their younger generation to carry on traditions and heritages of their parents and grand-parents. The aim of DCLAG is to advance the education of the inhabitants of Dundee, particularly those within the Minority Ethnic Communities irrespective of race, belief, gender or age, by the establishment and development of community language classes.

Partnership and Networking

DCLAG Management Committee and Staff members actively contribute towards partnership working with many statutory and voluntary organisations both locally and nationally.

Cultural Events

We organise cultural festivals throughout the year in order to raise cultural and racial awareness of Minority Ethnic Communities in Dundee.

Educational Trips

DCLAG organises trips for students to visit various places of interest in order to enhance their learning experiences.

The organisation is regulated by a constitution and holds an annual general meeting in which members and users of the project elect a Management committee to run this project.
